Nissan Unveils the All New Juke-R – Lewes, DE

Lewes, DE – Preston Nissan, part of the Preston Automotive Group, is excited to announce that Nissan has unveiled the all new Juke-R. Unveiled at a Nissan Crossover media launch in Malaga, Spain, Juke-R shocked an unsuspecting audience when it was revealed as a ‘surprise guest’ at the end of the press conference. Shown for the first time in the metal, Juke-R continues to create a huge reaction, harnessing the bold design of Nissan’s provocative Juke with the speed and power of the company’s flagship GT-R…… creating the world’s fastest, most innovative, crossover.

Just two versions of the Nissan Juke-R are being created, one in each of left-hand and right-hand drive. The cars have been developed by Nissan and are being built by leading motorsports outfit RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe (NTC-E). Testing of the car will begin in November.

Nissan Announces Pricing for the 2012 Quest – Hurlock, MD

Hurlock, MD – Preston Nissan, part of the Preston Automotive Group, is happy to share the news about the 2012 Nissan Quest van. Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced U.S. pricing for the 2012 Nissan Quest minivan, which is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. The innovation-packed Nissan Quest is offered in four well-equipped models: S, SV, SL and LE. Each comes with a standard 260-horsepower 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 engine and Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT™ transmission. Key available features include one-touch power sliding doors, fold-flat 2nd and 3rd row seats, Advanced Climate Control System, and standard permanent hidden storage. Enhancements for the 2012 model year include standard XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately) on Quest SV and SL models, and one new exterior color – Super Black.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) for the 2012 Nissan Quest include:

Quest 3.5 S $27,750 USD

Quest 3.5 SV $31,050 USD

Quest 3.5 SL $34,500 USD

Quest 3.5 LE $41,350 USD

About the 2012 Nissan Quest:
The 2012 Nissan Quest is more than just another standard minivan – it’s a new take on innovation for the family. From its bold styling with full surround glass to its extensive list of family friendly innovations, Quest “gets” parenting better than any other minivan. Quest’s sophisticated, modern exterior combines fluid sculptural elements with a dynamic mass and crafted details to provide a fresh take on minivan design – helping create a look as if Quest was carved from one solid piece of sculptor’s stone. The 2012 Quest comes with standard Nissan Intelligent Key® and optional one-touch power sliding doors, which unlock and open the side door with the simple touch of a button. To assist entry further, the Quest’s 2nd row features a standard walk-in device for easier access to the 3rd row. A one-touch unlock/open power rear liftgate is standard on Quest SL and LE models.

The easy-to-use convenience also carries over into the interior design with the fold-flat 2nd and 3rd row seats. The 3rd row folds forward – unlike any other minivan, there is no stowing required. The permanent rear storage well is always available, and a flat cargo floor is achieved without removing any seats. Third row power return seatbacks are also available on Quest LE.

One of the most innovative technologies is the Quest LE’s standard Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS) with Plasmacluster™ air purifier and Grape Polyphenol Filter. The system works three ways to help reduce allergens and unwanted odors within the Quest cabin. Quest’s standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) includes a segment-first application of Nissan’s Easy Fill Tire Alert.

All 2012 Quest models feature a standard VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque, and an advanced Xtronic CVT™ transmission that provides a smooth driving experience. Fuel economy is estimated at 19 mpg City/24 mpg Highway. Quest also features 4-wheel independent suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes and vehicle-speed-sensitive power steering. As part of Nissan’s “Safety Shield” concept, Quest is designed to incorporate a number of advanced safety systems, including the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system, which is standard on Quest LE. BSW helps alert the driver by illuminating an indicator light in the outside mirror if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. If the driver then engages the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible alert sounds.

The 2012 Nissan Quest is offered in four well-equipped models: S, SV, SL and LE. Seven exterior colors are available, and there are two interior colors in a choice of cloth (S and SV) or leather-appointed (SL and LE) seating.

Nissan Announces New Certified Collision Repair Program – Annapolis, MD

Annapolis, MD – Preston Nissan, part of the Preston Automotive Group, reports that Nissan has launched a new certified collision repair program open to dealers and independent shops. Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today launched its nationwide Nissan Certified Collision Repair Network at NACE, the International Autobody Congress and Exposition, in Orlando. The new certification program is open to both dealer-owned and independent collision shops.

“There are growing numbers of owners who are enjoying the dependability, comfort, engineering and performance of Nissan vehicles every day,” said Mark Zoba, manager, Collision Parts, Part & Service Sales and Marketing, NNA. “These customers expect the highest level of consistent service, Genuine Nissan Parts, outstanding technical expertise and work done correctly in a skillful, efficient and careful manner. This means they expect prompt, professional, dependable service –which the certification process is designed to promote.”

Nissan has teamed up with DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) to assist in the implementation of the program’s certification process and I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, to conduct technician training.

“The Nissan Certified Collision Repair Network has been developed as a dynamic competitive program to recognize and distinguish body shops that meet or exceed standards for repair work, training, equipment and delivery of customer service,” added Zoba. “Our partnership with DuPont and I-CAR helps ensure that every participating shop will offer the quality products, professional staff and enhanced services that meet Nissan’s exacting standards.”

Once a facility has successfully completed the application process, the shop manager will be contacted to set up a meeting to review the enrollment and inspect the facility. A DPC representative will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the facility to ensure that all standards will be met.

For participating collision shops, the Nissan Certified Collision Repair Network delivers the opportunity for the repair facility to attract new customers and to generate additional business from their existing base. The program offers:

The ability to promote services as a “Certified Collision Repair Facility” by Nissan North America, Inc.
A web-based customer search system of program facilities
An opportunity to generate additional revenue and profit from service and parts sales
An opportunity to interact with and provide services to customers who are new to the facility
And an opportunity to increase overall customer satisfaction

“The overall customer satisfaction that the certified program generates will potentially lead to repeat new car or pre-owned buyers, and additional revenue from service and parts,” said Zoba. “And for our valued Nissan customers, it provides the peace of mind of facility and repair process standardization – so that in the case of an unfortunate accident or vehicle damage, they’ll know that their Nissan will be repaired using Genuine Nissan Parts and in a timely fashion.”
